Recently, Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb did a stream of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare which allowed Reddit user ‘Rotj‘ to do a Twitch Analyser which determined the quality of the Xbox One stream output.
The broadcast was analysed at 1280 x 720 resolution which is higher than the PlayStation 4’s maximum stream output of 960 x 540. Both consoles output the same framerate of 30fps.
Other things noted down from the stream was the ability to archive footage, check on chat and viewer stats without displaying them on the stream and will not broadcast audio from party chat.
This is great news for Xbox One owners but mostly doesn’t make difference for us Australians with our lacking upload speeds. Xbox One Twitch App is slated for launch on March 11th.
