Microsoft has announced that members part of the preview program for Xbox One can now download the March update, which most notably brings with it the ability to (finally) take screenshots.

Other new features include –

  • Suggested Friends – More-or-less akin to PlayStation’s ‘friends you may know’ or Facebook’s ‘mutual friends’ options.
  • Sharing Your Name – Gives you two more options on how you share your real name, either with friends on Xbox Live or everyone in the Xbox Live community, meaning if someone has a look at your profile they’ll see your real name as well as your Gamertag.
  • Tile Transparency – Allows you to vary the level of transparency for your background images.

Amongst those new major features, privacy and online safety settings have been adjusted, there’s now an ability to notify Xbox when you receive spam via messages, OneGuide support for Australia continues on and Xbox One owners in Australia that have the Digital TV Tuner can now test it out.

The March update will be available for all Xbox One users in a couple of weeks.
