BenQ has revealed a brand new gaming monitor, the EX2780Q which features a 27” IPS QHD with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The monitor also features BenQ ‘exclusive’ HDRi technology which is a blend of their proprietary B.I.+ technology and HDR. In a nutshell, the feature actively controls your brightness while optimizing image and clarity for different modes especially gaming.

The BenQ EX2780Q also includes Black eQualizer which is commonly found on their esports ZOWIE gaming range. Black eQualizer is by far one of our favourite feature from Zowie and it’s great they’ve implemented this into a model is their standard gaming range.

Other features include treVolo sound, inbuilt speakers located in the back of the monitor. While we haven’t tried out the sound on these, the treVolo speakers look like a step up from the normal (often) underwhelming sound you get from in-built speakers.

Here’s a spec run down:

  • Monitor Size: 27-inch
  • Resolution: 2K QHD (2560×1440)
  • HDR 400
  • IPS Panel
  • 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • 5ms GTG Response Time
  • treVolo Speakers

The BenQ EX2780Q is available now for $799 from selected retailers including Mwave.
